10 Preparation Tips for the TOEFL Oral Exam The TOEFL oral exam contains 6 tasks and lasts 20 minutes.These tasks are either independent or integrated. Independent tasks demand descriptions and references to experiences and  opinions while integrated tasks involve reading  a passage and listening to a recording and then talking about  them afterwards.Here are some tips to help your preparation for the TOEFL1. Start With What Interests YouDo you love traveling? Are you a music buff? Then start off by learning how to talk about these topics. When you talk about what interests you, the language generally flows.2. Brush Up On Current AffairsWhat are the main issues affecting the world today? It’s a good idea to have knowledge and an opinion about what’s going on in the world around you. This could be one of the topics of conversation in your TOEFL speaking exam.3. Learn Idiomatic Expressions and ProverbsIt’s very impressive when an English student is familiar with idiomatic expressions and proverbs. Just make sure you know h ow and when to use them properly!4.
